Job ScopeEnsure the design and development of molecular diagnostic assays and technical support to other departments within the company.Lead the development of new products and/or technological improvement of existing products, from Pre-Feasibility phase to Validation, in compliance with the Design requirements, Product Development Plans and Quality standards.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssay design, testing and data analysisReporting of experiments in the Laboratory Notebook and other proper documentation for Design ControlPreparation of technical reports and presentationsDefine and test new raw materials, product innovations and processesPerform activities in compliance with Quality Standard and Standard Operating Procedure requirementsEducation, Experience, and QualificationsEducation / Specialization: Master’s Degree in Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, Biotechnology or equivalentExperience: at least 1 year in molecular biology laboratories (virology or microbiology preferred). Previous experience in IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) environments and biotechnology industry preferred. Molecular Product Development experience would be a distinct advantage. Previous experience in molecular biology (PCR, RT-PCR and Real-Time PCR preferred)Demonstrated ability on data handling and data analysisExperience using Microsoft Power Point, Word and ExcelExperience with statistic tools preferredAccuracyComprehension of technical issues in molecular assays and problem solvingDemonstrated ability to set up and optimize assaysAbility to multi-task effectivelyProblem-solving and decision-making capabilityWell-organized with ability to work well independently and as part of a teamHigh commitment, self-motivation and flexibilityLanguages: Good spoken and written EnglishTravel availability: Some travel will be requiredWhat we offerReceive a competitive salary and benefits package as you grow your career at DiaSorin.
