Compressor Seal SpecialistLocation: Cormano, ItalyTime Type: Full timePosted On: 2 Days AgoJob Requisition ID: R-13337Role Summary:With a passion for sales and business development, the Compressor Seal Specialist’s primary function is to generate sales revenue that would otherwise not materialize via the traditional approach of the selling organization. His mission is to grow compressor seal business by providing innovative solutions through our Service & Solutions Compressor Seal Products group. The Compressor Seal Specialist will work with engineering and commercial operations teams to develop proposals for solutions based on sound Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis with attractive Return on Investment.Subject Matter Expert: The Compressor Seal Specialist is accountable to serve as a key resource to the selling organization and Flowserve’s customers supporting the products, services, and markets identified within Compressor Seal Specialists Organization’s areas of targeted focus. The Compressor Seal Specialist shall continually develop their individual competencies to broaden their ability to provide expert level technical, application, and commercial guidance.Leading Strategic Business Development Programs and Initiatives: The Compressor Seal Specialist is accountable for the development, implementation, tracking, and management of strategic sales initiatives/programs focused on generating organic revenue growth from both “existing” and “new” products or services while providing actionable support to the selling organization aimed at generating year on year organic bookings growth.The Compressor Seal Specialist is responsible for growing our bookings in both direct and Distribution channel partners as appropriate.Activities include:Proactive engagement with direct and indirect sales channels.Assisting in the development of regional strategic plans that leverage Flowserve’s investment in local capabilities, business systems, and market analytics to develop account-based targeted growth strategies.Active participation in the account planning process.Participation in joint sales calls.Participation in opportunity pipeline management.Driving awareness of KPIs measuring the success of the growth strategies.Supporting the operation of local compressor seal repair, including Competitor DGS and test facilities – coordinating operations, engineering, and sales communications.Developing Vendor Stocking program, Master Service Agreement.Reporting: Reporting directly to the Regional Solutions Engineering Sales Manager. The CSS will have shared ownership of the compressor seal bookings plan.Preferred Experience / Skills:Sales experience with rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and mechanical seals.Experience in the oil & gas, power, paper, and chemical industries, including API 617 and API 692 Standards.Training in sales techniques, negotiations, and business finance.Demonstrated skills in leading meetings, including setting agendas, preparing, facilitating discussions, and assigning follow-up activities.Ability to lead root cause failure analysis and communicate results.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
